Family Continuity’s Youth Therapeutic Day Program is funded by the Department of Mental Health (DMH). The program is designed to provide a range of structured psycho-educational and recreational group activities for youths from the ages of 6 through 18 who are challenged by various social and emotional problems.
Youth are expected to attend the program 2-3 days per week depending on their age and scheduled activities. Activities and groups are formed around the unique qualities of Cape Cod and occur at our Hyannis location every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and occasional Saturday.
Group activities includes therapeutic support that is structured to strengthen youth resiliency and the development of skills related to (but not limited to) mindfulness, emotion regulation, social engagement, interpersonal relationships, pro-social enjoyment, independent living, critical thinking, problem solving, healthy living, well-being, self-efficiency, confidence, leadership, independence and other skill developments.
