Family Support Fund

As part of our mission to support family success in every community, Family Continuity has established a fund that we can utilize to assist our clients when their needs exceed our funding, when every day issues arise that may be small, but can be nonetheless critical in keeping families together and thriving. 

 For example, The Family Support Fund will help:

• Provide childcare so that parents can attend necessary meetings
• Assist a family member in receiving rehabilitation support not covered by insurance
• Purchase medications when there is a lapse in insurance coverage
• Ensure continuity of therapy services during a lapse in insurance coverage
• Assist families in purchasing needed medical equipment
• Assist families with the costs related to hospitalization (transportation, room, food)
• Send a child to a local camp, art classes, YMCA or other activity
• Help families with costs during the holidays and back to school: Groceries, clothing and gas for the car
• Acquire passes to movies, mini-golf, bowling, museums, whale watches for staff to take their clients out and experience outings they might never have otherwise
• Purchase proper child safety and booster seats

Monies donated to this fund will help Family Continuity provide the above services to help our families access the resources they need to stay together and make ends meet during difficult financial times. You may designate your donation to stay in a certain region (Cape and Islands, Worcester, Merrimac Valley, North Shore or Plymouth) or be used where ever needed.

Diruhi Mattian Memorial Fund

The Diruhi Mattian Memorial Fund was established in February 2008 to honor the life and work of Diruhi Mattian. To honor the joy, strength and dedication to her life and work, Family Continuity created this fund to provide ongoing training, staff development and career ladder programs that assist the staff at Family Continuity who continue in her legacy. The Senior Administrative Team and Board of Directors determine how the money will be spent on a quarterly basis to further educate the staff in their area of expertise.

Tribute Gifts

Celebrate birthdays or anniversaries with a tribute gift, or honor the life of a loved one with a memorial gift and please consider remembering Family Continuity in your will.

Stocks and Securities

Contributing appreciated stocks, property and other assets can help Massachusetts families and benefit you at tax time.

Employer Matching

Many companies encourage philanthropy by matching their employees' donations. Please check with your employer about matching gift guidelines.

Pledges

Pledging a contribution by installment is an excellent means of sustaining support. You can specify length of the pledge period, amount, frequency and method of payment.

Designated Gift

You may either give to provide general support to Family Continuity programs across its service area or designate a gift to a specific program or community served. Either way, your gift will be helping many families, children and adults.

Shaw's Community Rewards Program

Now when you shop for groceries at Shaw's or Star Market, you can help raise needed funds for Family Continuity!

All you need to do is link your Shaw's Reward card to our identification number at shaws.com/communityrewards. Family Continuity's identification number is 49001022706.

Just shop on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday using your Shaw's Reward Card and 1% of your eligible total will be donated to Family Continuity by Shaw's. It's that easy!
